Cambridge Business English Certificates
The Cambridge Business English Certificates suite of exams (BEC) is considered English for Specific purposes (ESP) and allows employees to demonstrate their ability in English in the workplace. From a student’s perspective, it is often a good option for those who want smaller classes in their English school and to study with like-minded professionals. The qualification is generally taken by those who are already well-integrated into life in the UK and who want a qualification to help them both cope linguistically at work and also to help with promotion prospects.
Pros: Looks good on a CV for employers
Cons: Some might argue that no one speaks Business English, they just speak English
